Mr. Gurcharan Singh Sehmbey had always been involved in the manufacturing of auto mobile component since 1950s.

He completed his graduation from Punjab University in the field of Mechanical Engineering. After his graduation he went to London where he got work experience with Rolls Royce Ltd in the Engine Department. He also worked in D. Napier and Sons a British engineering company who does testing in aeronautical parts. Then he joined Elliott Machines Tools Group as Head of Design and Quality Department which was responsible for manufacturing Lathe and Milling machines.

Mr. G.S Sehmbey was a visionary who knew that automobile companies are the future of the world. With considerable work over the years’ experience and his brilliant engineering skills and mind he returned to India in late 60’s and became one of the pioneers in the manufacturing of leaf spring plants in India.

Through his close association with the Tata Group, he was asked to set up an Anti-roll bar plant in Pune. His execution and design expertise led to the incorporation of Sawalka Tools And Machines Pvt Ltd in 1988.

With a global experience of 40 years, Mr. G S Sehmbey, was the prime vision behind the inception as well as the expansion of Sawalka. A mechanical engineer by qualification, his interest in automotive engineering, design and manufacturing played a lion’s share in initiating the automotive Leaf Spring plants of Bharat Springs Ltd (Mumbai) and Toyo Springs Ltd (Delhi).

His passion and will to achieve the impossible has been successfully passed into his son Mr. Prithvi Pal Sehmbey.

Mr. Prithvi Pal Sehmbey completed his graduation with a degree of Diploma in Engineering from Isleworth Polytechnic which is now known as Hounslow Borough College. He Co-founded the company with his father Mr. Gurcharan Singh Sehmbey in 1988.The Combination of Mr. Gurcharn’s advanced engineering designing expertise, along with Prithvi’s efficient and sharp business acumen Sawalka today stands as the top OEM of Anti Roll Bar for commercial vehicles in India.

Mr. Prithvi is actively involved in maintaining superior standards of quality and enhancing new innovative engineering capabilities for higher efficiency of production.

He is an avid sports enthusiast and loves travelling and exploring historical places. He enjoys spending his time on family holidays especially with his grandchildren, they seem to really reinvigorate his mind and soul.

Mr. Amar Pal Sehmbey graduated from Symbiosis International College Pune. Amar Sehmbey takes a vision and makes it reality through strategy development. He intuitively sees threads of opportunity that wind through an organization, brings them together into coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking, and drives material business advantage.

He is an inspirational leader who tells stories that inspire action while at the same time is grounded in financial information that levers the business. Respected as credible voice in decision making, adopting new strategy, he earns a seat at the table wherever he serves.

He is passionate about sports like cricket, football.

Mr. Manopal Sehmbey is a graduate in Business Administration from Brunel University London and also holds a CPL (Commercial Pilot License) Florida.

Young, talented, Manopal’s ability to take risks, think outside the box and constant introspection is a refreshing and pleasant change from traditional views and development.

Along with his brother Amar Sehmbey they have set new standards of growth and ensure top level of quality manufactured products and customer satisfaction.

Manopal’s passion for flying never ceased to leave him and he pursued it with great determination and holds a commercial pilot license.
